National cargo FAQs

Q: Where can I send cargo from?

A: You can send cargo between any of our 21 locations.

Q: What time do I have to be at the airport?

A: We cut off cargo acceptance 120 minutes before the flight's departure for our Fly It Firm service, 60 minutes for our Fly It Fast service and at least 75 minutes for our Fly It For You service. Please allow yourself plenty of time before this to ensure that the paperwork and payment can be processed before this time.

Q: How long after the flight arrives will my cargo be available?

A: Please allow the same amount of time as for presentation for Fly It Firm and Fly It Fast. For Fly It For You, please allow up to 90 minutes.

Q: How can I pay for my shipment?

A: You will need to pay for your shipment when dropping your cargo off to be delivered. We only accept eftpos or credit card at time of presentation. If you are looking to send cargo with us on a regular basis, please contact us to discuss opening an account.

Q: Can you deliver my cargo to my home/office?

A: Please contact your Account Manager or email nationalcargocustomersupport@airnz.co.nz to discuss options.

Q: Can I send cargo on the same flight as me?

A: Air New Zealand National Cargo has a special next flight service designed specifically for urgent shipments. If you wish to choose a specific flight for your cargo to travel on Fly It Fast is the fastest, airport-to-airport service on the market.
