At Wellington Airport you can use your vouchers in the Air New Zealand Parking Pre-paid facility located on Stewart Duff Drive. Visit our Air New Zealand Parking site to book your parking and use your vouchers.

Priority airport standby

When you are at the airport and you wish to travel on an alternative flight, if a seat becomes available you will be given priority standby. Standbys are not available in conjunction with certain fare types such as reward tickets, grabaseat™ or Night Rider.

Lounge privileges

Air New Zealand has lounges throughout New Zealand and at many of our international destinations that can be used prior to the departure of your eligible Air New Zealand flight:

Access to all lounges is prior to departure on an eligible flight (access to Air New Zealand Lounges is not permitted when travelling on a Night Rider fare), and requires the presentation of your Airpoints membership card and same-day Air New Zealand boarding pass.

Elite members
Elite members can bring up to five guests (subject to space) into Air New Zealand Domestic and Air New Zealand International Lounges and one guest into our regional lounges or any Star Alliance lounge worldwide when travelling on an eligible flight. Please note however that access to United Red Carpet Clubs within the United States is permitted when presenting a ticket or boarding pass in conjunction with international travel.

Elite Partners
Elite Partners can access Air New Zealand-branded lounges even if they are travelling on their own on eligible Air New Zealand ticketed and operated flights. They may also access Partner Lounges that we have arranged for our Koru members to use when travelling on Air New Zealand flights.

Gold members
Gold members can bring one guest (subject to space) into all Air New Zealand lounges and Star Alliance lounges when travelling on eligible flights. Please note however that access to United Red Carpet Clubs within the United States is permitted when presenting a ticket or boarding pass in conjunction with international travel.

Silver members
Silver members receive two complimentary one-entry lounge passes each membership year which can be used for all Air New Zealand Lounges within New Zealand and all Air New Zealand International Lounges when travelling on eligible flights. These passes are stored electronically on your Airpoints account (referred to as eVouchers) and are redeemed when you present your Silver Airpoints membership card and boarding pass at an Air New Zealand-branded lounge. They can also be used for a travel companion departing with you on the same day of travel (space available) on an eligible Air New Zealand ticketed and operated flight.

Air New Zealand Koru Express and Auckland Domestic Regional Lounge update

For the benefit of regional travellers Air New Zealand operates a Koru Express at the Christchurch Regional Terminal and a new express regional lounge at the Auckland Domestic Terminal. These facilities are close to the regional gates, providing a convenient location to enjoy complimentary snacks and drinks when members don’t have time to visit the full Domestic Lounges upstairs.

If you’re an Elite, Elite Partner, Gold or Koru member who’d like to visit Koru Express, simply scan your Airpoints card,e-Ticket or boarding pass at the entrance gate when travelling on an eligible flight. We are sorry but guests and children cannot be accommodated and complimentary passes cannot be used in Koru Express as access is via an electronic gate and for members only.

Virgin Australia lounges

Elite and Gold members are able to use Virgin Australia lounges when connecting from an Air New Zealand trans-Tasman flight and flying domestically in Australia with Virgin Australia. These lounges are located in Sydney, Brisbane, Melbourne, Adelaide, Canberra, Mackay and Perth.

New Star Alliance lounge at Tom Bradley International Terminal in Los Angeles

Air New Zealand will utilise the Star Alliance Lounge at Tom Bradley International Terminal, Los Angeles, from 3 December 2014. Transiting customers on NZ1 and NZ2 will no longer need to remain in a dedicated transit facility and instead will be able to access the wider terminal while waiting for connecting flights.

Elite and Gold members will be able to access the Star Alliance Los Angeles Lounge. Star Alliance access rights apply, including that you must be travelling on an international Star Alliance operated flight (including Air New Zealand), and you may bring one guest into the lounge. Accompanying children under the age of two (2) will be allowed into this Star Alliance lounge free of charge, however any child two years and above may only be brought in under the single guest allowance.

Elite Partners travelling separately from the Elite member on Air New Zealand tickets may also access this Star Alliance Lounge with one guest when travelling on NZ1 and NZ2. Air New Zealand complimentary lounge eVouchers and passes (such as Silver complimentary lounge vouchers) issued by Air New Zealand will not be accepted at this lounge.

Please ensure your Airpoints number is always entered at the time of booking, and you should always carry your Airpoints card when travelling.
