Baggage Allowance - Gold and Gold Elite
Airpoints™ Gold and Gold Elite members are entitled to check-in 20kg more than the standard baggage allowance. That means for Economy you can take 40kg and Business 50kg.
The exception is if you're flying to, from or through the United States, where you can check-in up to three pieces of luggage weighing a maximum of 23kg each in Economy and Premium Economy and 32kg each in Business Premier instead of the usual two pieces.
In recognition of your Star Gold status, your cabin baggage can total up to 14kg when flying with Air New Zealand, regardless of the class of travel. On international services, you can take up to two pieces with no single piece exceeding 115cm in size (length+height+width) or weighing more than 7kg.
Exception - For flights to, from and through the USA and/or UK, the US Federal Aviation Administration and UK Department for Transport currently restricts cabin baggage to one piece for all passengers. Size and weight restrictions are as stated above.
Priority Check-in - Gold and Gold Elite
Gold and Gold Elite members can check-in at the Business Class counter when travelling on an Air New Zealand ticketed or operated flight, regardless of the class of travel. When travelling on a flight operated by a Star Alliance airline you are entitled to check-in at the Star Alliance Gold designated counter.
Priority Baggage Claim - Gold and Gold Elite
Where possible you will be amongst the first to collect your baggage off each Air New Zealand-operated flight and most Star Alliance airline operated flights.
