ePass
If you are a Gold Elite, Gold, Silver or Koru member you will receive your own ePass. The ePass is an electronic tag that identifies you at our airport kiosks, boarding gates, and Koru Lounges.
When travelling within New Zealand, if you only have carry-on luggage, just scan the ePass at the gate when you go to board. If you have bags, scan the ePass at a kiosk. Collect your boarding pass, attach the printed bag tags and drop your bags on the bag drop belt. Remember to make sure your bag weighs less than 25kg.
Stick the ePass to the back of your mobile or anything else you can be sure you'll have with you at all times. Your personal ePass works on a radio frequency and only contains one unique code, which we use to identify you. We don't store any other information on your ePass so you can be confident all your personal information is safe.
If you need a replacement ePass, you can contact us to request a replacement; or as a Koru, Gold or Gold Elite member, you can also collect a new ePass from the Koru Lounge at Auckland, Wellington and Christchurch domestic Airports.
Valet Parking - Gold Elite
Airpoints™ Gold Elite members receive five complimentary Koru Valet parking vouchers. Each one entitles you to one day's (24 hours) complimentary valet parking at Auckland, Wellington or Christchurch Airports.
Priority Airport Standby - Silver, Gold and Gold Elite
When you are at the airport and you wish to travel on an alternative flight, if a seat becomes available you will be given priority standby. Standbys are not available in conjunction with reward tickets, Smart Saver fares or flights operated by Varig in Brazil.
Lounge Privileges - Silver, Gold and Gold Elite
Silver members receive two complimentary one-entry lounge passes for all Koru lounges within New Zealand and all Air New Zealand operated International Lounges. The pass may be used when departing on the day of travel when travelling on any Air New Zealand ticketed and operated flight.
Gold members have access to all Koru Lounges within New Zealand and all Air New Zealand operated International Lounges. They can also bring one guest into these lounges, subject to space, on the day of travel on Star Alliance ticketed and operated flights. In addition, they have access with one travelling companion to Star Alliance Gold Lounges worldwide. Access to United Red Carpet Clubs, US Airways Clubs and US Airways Envoy Lounges within the United States is only permitted when presenting a ticket or boarding pass in conjunction with international travel.
Gold Elite members enjoy the same lounge privileges as Gold members, with the additional right to bring up to five guests (subject to space) into Koru and Air New Zealand International Lounges.
In order to access these lounges prior to your departure, you will need to present your Airpoints membership card, and you and your guests will need to present your same-day Air New Zealand or Star Alliance boarding passes at the lounge reception.
Please Note: When transiting Los Angeles en-route to/from London-Heathrow on flights NZ2 and NZ1 the Air New Zealand Lounge is available to Business Class passengers only. Airpoints Gold Elite and Gold members may access the premium transit facility at Los Angeles Airport.
Priority Boarding - Gold and Gold Elite
Regardless of your class of travel, once boarding commences, you can board at your leisure on Air New Zealand and most Star Alliance flights.
Gold Elite Partner
Gold Elite Partner allows you to nominate your spouse or partner to enjoy the same exclusive privileges as you do when travelling on Air New Zealand operated flights, even if you are not travelling together. With their Gold Elite Partner card, your partner will enjoy; access to Air New Zealand Koru lounges (with one guest) , premium check-in, additional baggage allowance, priority airport standby, priority boarding and priority baggage claim. Please note that your Gold Elite Partner must reside at your home address.
